Job Summary:
The LVN/LPN is responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. They are an essential part of the healthcare team and play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a physician
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and disease prevention
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients
- Document patient care services in medical records accurately and timely
- Adhere to high standards of infection control and patient safety protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current LVN/LPN license in the state of practice
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic bedside manner
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
