Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR)
Location: Midland, MI
Shift: Days 10 hour shifts
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN OR will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing patients for surgery by assessing their health status and reviewing medical history
- Assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, handling equipment, and providing support as needed
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure their safety and well-being
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Educating patients and their families about post-operative care and follow-up instructions
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
