Job Title: RN ICU (Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit)
Location: Glens Falls, NY
Shift: Days 12hr days 36hr schedule
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
The RN ICU is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and critical care environment. This individual must have extensive knowledge and experience in caring for patients with life-threatening conditions, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring patients in the ICU
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs and other critical indicators
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an ICU setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
