Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and assist in providing quality occupational therapy services to our clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the occupational therapist
2. Assisting patients with activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, and functional tasks
3. Monitoring and documenting patient progress and reporting to the occupational therapist
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
5. Providing support and education to patients and their families
6. Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
2. Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
3. State licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
6. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
