Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Location: North Adams , MA
Shift: Nights 9:30 PM - 7:30 AM
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work in a medical laboratory setting, analyzing samples of blood, tissue, urine, and other bodily fluids to provide accurate and timely results. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including chemical, microbiological, hematological, immunological, and biological tests.
2. Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and other healthcare providers.
3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality control standards.
4. Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
5. Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information.
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
7. Stay up-to-date on advances in medical technology and laboratory practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
