Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Madison, WI
Shift: 12 hr shifts: 36 hrs/week
Duration: 13weeks
Job Summary:
Our healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with breathing disorders, assessing respiratory conditions, and providing treatments to help patients improve their lung function. The Respiratory Therapist will work closely with physicians and nurses to develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on proper breathing techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting diagnostic tests to evaluate patients’ lung function
- Administering medications and treatments to help patients manage their respiratory conditions
- Monitoring patients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients on proper use of respiratory equipment and techniques
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
- Responding to emergency situations and providing life-saving interventions when necessary
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
