Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dynamic team. As a COTA/OTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient evaluations and assessments
- Assisting in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Providing therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitoring and recording patient progress
- Educating and instructing patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals
- Maintaining accurate patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA/OTA
- State license to practice as a COTA/OTA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care
