Job Title: Ultrasound Technician
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: Saranac Lake, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. The Ultrasound Technician will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce and interpret images of patients' internal organs for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients as ordered by healthcare providers
- Adjust and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain the best possible images
- Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, ensuring all necessary views are captured
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss imaging findings and provide necessary information for patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality is upheld at all times
- Assist in the training and supervision of new ultrasound technicians as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Ultrasound Technician
- Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, and vascular exams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of patient care standards and safety protocols in a healthcare setting
