Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant (Nursing) to join our healthcare team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assistance and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist nurses and healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Take and record patient vital signs
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educate patients on health and wellness topics
- Assist with medical equipment maintenance and sterilization
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare team members
- Adhere to all healthcare protocols and regulations
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Basic computer skills
- CPR certification
