Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Shift: Day Shift
Location: Utica, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor the progress of labor and assess the wellbeing of both mother and baby.
2. Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques.
3. Assist with the delivery of newborns and provide immediate postpartum care.
4. Educate new mothers on breastfeeding techniques and newborn care.
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
6. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
