Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN ER)
Shift: 12-hr Shifts Days, Eve, Nights and every other weekend and holiday
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Cleveland, OH
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN ER assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. They must be quick-thinking, able to prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and prioritizing patient needs in the emergency room
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
3. Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and progress
4. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
6. Performing emergency procedures, such as CPR and wound care
7. Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety
8. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in emergency nursing
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency room setting (preferred)
3. BLS and ACLS certifications
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Knowledge of emergency medications and procedures
8. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
