Job Summary:
As a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests to help diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to analyze samples and provide accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Collect and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and tissue for testing
2. Perform complex laboratory tests using automated equipment and manual methods
3. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
4. Interpret and report test results to healthcare providers
5. Follow strict protocols and quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision
6. Keep detailed records of all tests performed
7. Assist in research and development of new testing methods
8. Stay up-to-date on advances in the field of laboratory science
9. Train and supervise other laboratory staff
10. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
2. Certification as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
7. Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
8. Strong problem-solving skills
9. Proficient in using laboratory equipment and technology
10. Knowledge of medical terminology
