Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Shift: Flexible to days/eve/nights & weekends
Location: Tuba City, AZ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse plays a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in critical condition. They must be able to think quickly and accurately assess patient needs in high-stress situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide rapid assessment and treatment to patients in the emergency room
2. Administer medications as needed
3. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
4. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
5. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
6. Educate patients and their families on follow-up care instructions
7. Participate in emergency response protocols as needed
8. Assist with patient transfers to other departments or facilities
9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
7. Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
9. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
