Job Title: OR Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled OR Technologist to join our surgical team and assist in various operating room procedures. The OR Technologist will be responsible for preparing and maintaining surgical equipment, assisting the surgical team during procedures, and ensuring the sterile field is maintained at all times. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and set up surgical equipment and instrumentation for procedures
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
- Ensure all equipment is properly functioning and sterile
- Assist with patient positioning and skin preparation
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and have supplies ready as needed
- Assist with the cleaning and restocking of the operating room after procedures
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited OR Technologist program
- Prior experience working in an operating room setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
