Job Title: RN Medical Surgical
Shift: Night (07:00 PM- 07:00 AM)
Location: Waco, TX
Job Summary:
The RN Medical Surgical is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical surgical unit. They will assess patient health needs, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition, and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and treatment options
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical surgical nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
