Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
Shift - Days (07:00 AM- 07:00 PM) | 36 hour per week
Location: College Station, TX
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in the operating room. The CST will assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Set up and maintain sterile surgical field
2. Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
3. Anticipate surgeons' needs and assist as necessary
4. Assist with patient positioning and preparation
5. Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
6. Maintain accurate records of procedures
7. Assist with cleaning and setting up operating room for next procedure
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Completion of accredited surgical technology program
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to lift and move heavy objects
7. Knowledge of surgical procedures and medical terminology
