Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient vitals, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help patients with eating and ensure they are properly nourished
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Assist with transferring and positioning patients
- Keep patient rooms clean and organized
- Follow all healthcare protocols and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and moving patients
