Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse - Med Surg is responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient condition, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a medical-surgical setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing direct patient care as needed.
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and treatment plans.
5. Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records.
6. Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed.
7. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
8. Assist with discharge planning and follow-up care.
9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS and ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and procedures.
8. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
