Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN ER)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You will assess patients, administer medication, monitor vital signs, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the Emergency Room
2. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
3. Monitor and record patient vital signs
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
5. Educate patients and their families about their medical condition and treatment options
6. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
7. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress situations
7. Strong organizational and time management skills
