Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses or physicians. The LPN will work closely with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians
2. Monitor and record patient vital signs
3. Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
4. Dress wounds and provide basic patient care
5. Educate patients and their families on health issues and medications
6. Maintain accurate patient records
7. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop care plans
8. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
9. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients
10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid LPN license in the state of practice
2. Graduation from an accredited nursing program
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5. Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care
6. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
7. Basic computer skills
8. CPR certification
9. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
