Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Triage patients and prioritize care based on the severity of their condition.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
3. Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment.
4. Assist in emergency procedures, such as intubation or CPR.
5. Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult situations.
6. Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan.
8. Educate patients and families on post-discharge care instructions.
9. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in emergency medicine through continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license and BLS certification.
2. ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
7. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
8. Knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
