Job Title: Director of Imaging
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Imaging to oversee all aspects of the imaging department in our healthcare facility. The Director of Imaging will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the quality and efficiency of imaging services, and implementing new technologies to improve patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the imaging department
2. Supervise and evaluate imaging staff, including radiologists, technologists, and support personnel
3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
4. Collaborate with other departments to provide seamless patient care
5. Maintain and update imaging equipment, software, and technology
6. Monitor departmental budgets and expenses
7. Evaluate and improve imaging protocols and procedures
8. Train staff on new technologies and protocols
9. Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes
10. Provide leadership and direction to the imaging team
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Management, or related field
2. At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an imaging department
3. ARRT certification and state licensure
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Knowledge of imaging equipment and technologies
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
7. Experience with budgeting and financial management
8. Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
