Job Title: RN-Psychiatric Adolescent
Job Summary:
The RN-Psychiatric Adolescent is responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to adolescents in a clinical setting. They will assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with various mental health disorders.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of adolescent patients
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient
3. Administer medications and monitor patient responses
4. Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to patients and their families
5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
6. Educate patients and families about mental health disorders and treatment options
7. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Certification in psychiatric nursing (PMH-RN) preferred
4. Previous experience working with adolescents with mental health disorders
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Empathy and compassion for patients and their families
