Job Title: Registered Nurse, Psychiatric Geriatric
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric geriatric care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to elderly patients with psychiatric disorders in a psychiatric geriatric facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of elderly patients with psychiatric disorders
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and their families
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in nursing
- Certification in psychiatric nursing preferred
- Previous experience in psychiatric geriatric care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
