Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will ensure that images produced are of high quality and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly
- Operate CT equipment to capture images as requested by physicians
- Monitor patients during scanning to ensure their safety and comfort
- Analyze images to ensure they are of high quality and accurately represent the area being examined
- Maintain accurate records of each patient's imaging procedure
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of action based on imaging results
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT certification in CT required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CT Technologist preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Attention to detail and accuracy in producing images
