Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential care and support to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of registered nurses. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily activities, monitor their health status, and ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing and grooming
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Helping patients with mobility and exercises as needed
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assisting with feeding and ensuring patients are properly nourished
- Keeping patient rooms clean and organized
- Following proper infection control protocols
- Documenting patient care activities accurately
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a CNA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy towards patients
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients as needed
