Job Title: CT Technologist
Job Summary:
As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using computed tomography (CT) equipment. You will work closely with radiologists to capture high-quality images of the patient's internal structures and aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Operate CT equipment to obtain images of patients' internal structures.
2. Position patients correctly and ensure their safety during the imaging process.
3. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast material.
4. Collaborate with radiologists to review and analyze images.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure patient confidentiality.
6. Calibrate and maintain CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent exposure to radiation.
8. Stay current with advancements in CT technology and participate in continuing education opportunities.
9. Provide exceptional patient care and support throughout the imaging process.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of imaging protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in radiologic technology or related field.
2. ARRT certification in computed tomography.
3. State licensure as a CT Technologist.
4. Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
8. Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
9. Basic computer skills for image processing and documentation.
10. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
