Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians to develop treatment plans and provide respiratory care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patients' respiratory conditions and developing treatment plans
- Administering medications and treatments such as oxygen therapy
- Performing diagnostic tests to evaluate lung function
- Teaching patients how to use equipment like inhalers and nebulizers
- Monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatments as needed
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
