Job title: PACU RN (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU RN to join our post-anesthesia care unit team. The PACU RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and ensuring their safe transition from the operating room to the recovery unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent critical thinking and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor vital signs and patient recovery progress
- Assess patients for complications and intervene as needed
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Provide education to patients and their families about post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license and BLS certification
- 2+ years of experience in post-anesthesia care or critical care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
