Job Title: RN-Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse (PACU)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The PACU Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patients post-surgery and assess their condition
- Administer medications as needed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PACU setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
