Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room RN to join our team. The Operating Room RN will be responsible for providing quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing the patient's condition before, during, and after surgery
- Collaborating with the surgical team to create and implement individualized care plans
- Monitoring the patient's vital signs and responding to any changes in condition
- Administering medications and managing IV lines as needed
- Providing emotional support to patients and their families
- Assisting the surgeon during procedures by passing instruments and keeping the surgical area sterile
- Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and timely
- Following all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of employment
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
