Job Title: RN-Operating Room
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As an RN-Operating Room, you will be responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating perioperative care for patients
- Preparing operating rooms for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Assisting surgeons during procedures, including handling instruments and providing surgical assistance
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery, and providing appropriate care and interventions
- Educating patients and families about surgical procedures and postoperative care
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
