Job Title: RN-Psychiatric Adolescent
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialization in psychiatric care for adolescents. In this role, you will work closely with adolescent patients who are experiencing mental health challenges, providing them with expert care and support.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of adolescent patients to identify their mental health needs.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
3. Administer medications and therapies as prescribed by psychiatrists.
4. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
5. Provide emotional support and counseling to adolescent patients and their families.
6. Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
7. Collaborate with social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Certification in psychiatric nursing or mental health nursing.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric care for adolescents.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and emotionally challenging environment.
7. Knowledge of adolescent psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities.
