Job title: Labor and Delivery Nurse
Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during childbirth. You will work alongside doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe delivery of babies and provide education to new mothers on baby care and postpartum recovery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and provide support to the mother
- Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
- Assist doctors in performing medical procedures during childbirth
- Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, baby care, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor the condition of the baby before and after delivery
- Document all patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must have a valid RN license
- Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of childbirth procedures and medical equipment
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
