Job title: Ultrasound Technologist (General ab/ob small parts)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasounds on patients, with a focus on general ab/ob small parts. This includes conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, providing quality patient care, and ensuring accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform ultrasounds on patients, focusing on general abdominal, obstetric, and small parts
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the ultrasound
- Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent exposure to radiation
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in ultrasound technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound technology program
- ARDMS certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in performing ultrasounds, with a focus on general ab/ob small parts
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and interpreting results
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules
