Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patient respiratory conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing respiratory therapy services to patients in need. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform respiratory assessments on patients to determine their needs and develop treatment plans
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatment options
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and protocols for respiratory therapy services
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
