Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in Intermediate Care is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in an intermediate care setting. They will assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and prioritizing patient needs in an intermediate care setting
2. Developing and implementing individualized care plans
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
4. Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and overall condition
5. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
6. Educating patients and their families on health management and treatment options
7. Maintaining a safe and clean patient care environment
8. Adhering to all regulatory standards and protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an intermediate care setting
4. Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
