Job Title: Registered Nurse - Oncology
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer, offering support and guidance throughout their journey. As an Oncology Nurse, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor patients for side effects and complications of treatment
- Educate patients and their families on cancer treatment options and self-care techniques
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) preferred
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
