Job title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic care to patients in healthcare facilities under the supervision of licensed nurses. CNAs assist with activities of daily living, perform vital signs monitoring, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Help patients with eating, drinking, and other personal care tasks
3. Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
4. Assist nurses with medical procedures and treatments
5. Ensure patients are comfortable and their needs are met
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas
7. Report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
8. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Active CNA certification
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
6. Compassion and empathy for patients
7. Physical stamina to assist with lifting and moving patients
8. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
