Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team and assist in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing physical therapy treatments. The ideal candidate will work alongside licensed physical therapists to help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve overall physical function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients
- Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress and status
- Set up and maintain treatment equipment and therapy areas
- Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation process
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in physical therapy assisting or related field
- Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic healthcare practices and procedures
- Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting is preferred
