Job Title: Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in the PCU, monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions in the PCU
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to create and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current and valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Previous experience in a PCU or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered care approach
