Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary duties will include assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring their vital signs, and reporting any changes in their condition to the healthcare team.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Taking and recording patients' vital signs
- Turning and repositioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers
- Assisting with medical procedures, such as wound care and catheter insertion
- Monitoring patients' food and fluid intake
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Keeping patient rooms clean and organized
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
