Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in Acute Care, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to patients in a hospital setting. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Helping patients with mobility and transferring to different locations within the hospital
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assisting with medical procedures and treatments as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Documenting patient care activities and observations in medical records
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Previous experience in acute care or hospital setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
- Physical ability to lift and move patients as needed
