Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg | Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while utilizing critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions and progress
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
3. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
4. Educating patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
5. Documenting patient interactions and care provided in electronic medical records
6. Monitoring telemetry readings and responding to alarms promptly
7. Providing emotional support to patients and their families
8. Adhering to protocols and policies to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Med/Surg | Telemetry setting
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
7. Proficiency in using electronic medical records and medical equipment
8. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
