Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery (L&D)
Shift: 12hr day
Location: Midland, TX
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during the childbirth process. You will assess patients, monitor fetal heart rates, administer medications, and assist with delivery procedures. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby during labor and delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring maternal and fetal well-being during the labor process
- Assisting with labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal and cesarean births
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Administering medications and interventions as needed
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
- Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BSN degree or higher in Nursing
- BLS / ACLS / PALS/NRP certification
- At least 1-2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of labor and delivery best practices and procedures
