Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
Shift: (Night) 7:00pm to 7:00am
Location: York ME
Duration: 8 WEEK
Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care for patients in the intensive care unit, monitoring their conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the medical team to develop and implement care plans. The ICU RN plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and recovery of critically ill patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patient conditions in the ICU
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times
- Use critical thinking skills to make timely decisions in emergency situations
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and treatment options
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of critical care procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- BLS and ACLS certification required
