Job Title: Labor & Delivery Nurse
Shift: 12hr(Night)
Location: Newport, VT
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a Labor & Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and support to pregnant women during labor and childbirth. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor the progress of labor and assess the condition of the mother and baby
- Administer medications and pain management techniques as needed
- Assist with childbirth and provide support to the mother during delivery
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create a personalized birth plan for each patient
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license and BLS,PALS and NRP Required
- BSN or higher degree in nursing
- Previous experience in labor and delivery or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Certification in CPR and neonatal resuscitation
