Shift: 7:30Am-4:30PM
Location: Brooklyn, MN
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the medical facility.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and maintain accurate records
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with patient check-in and check-out
- Provide patient education and support
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical billing and coding as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer skills and electronic medical records systems
- CPR certification
