Job Title: RN-Med Surg
SHIFTS: 7pm-7:30am
Duration: 13 week
Location: Mattoon, IL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care within the scope of their nursing practice in accordance with our hospital's policies and procedures. The RN-Med Surg will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Med Surg unit.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
3. Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
4. Educate patients and their families on health promotion and disease prevention.
5. Collaborate with the interprofessional team to coordinate patient care.
6. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
8. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current in nursing practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS|ACLS certification.
3. Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience preferred.
4. Strong clinical assessment skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
9. Knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
10. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
