We are currently seeking a dedicated Onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work at our school-based rehabilitation site.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs): Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans and interventions designed to improve communication skills and address speech and language disorders in school-aged children.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Conduct individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, expressive language, fluency, and pragmatics.
  • Support Classroom Integration: Work closely with teachers and other school staff to facilitate the integration of speech and language goals into the classroom environment, providing support and strategies to enhance communication skills in academic and social settings.
  • Collaborate with Families: Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss therapy goals, progress, and strategies for home carryover, fostering a collaborative approach to supporting students' communication development.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology, participating in training opportunities, workshops, and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.


Pay Package:

  • Weekly gross: $1455
  • Hourly pay: $40
  • Stipend: $987
  • on W2: 27.41


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
